Hey there, currently trying to figure out how to make it so an item that gives potion effects can't have those potion effects cured by milk. Add the Start directory by choosing just start and hit ok.ĥ) Then add another via the + in that same dialog, and this time navigate until you find forgeBin-1.8.x-XX.XX.X.XXXX.jar and choose it.įailing this you've probably gone in a different direction that the IntilliJ IDEA herd in which case you probably should go back to the start and start with re-downloading the MDK into a clean directory, then run the above steps. Add a dependency and locate your gradle cache directory (mine is C:\users\myname\.gradle\caches\minecraft\net\minecraftforge\forge\Ĥ) There should be two directories with noting here, the first being "start" and second being "start". Any advice would be appreciated thank you.Looks like you've not got the ForegBin src location setup correctly.ġ) make sure you get the latest MDK and run two commands via terminal - first being "SetupDevWorkspace" as this will ensure all the gradle caches etc are aligned with that version and what not.Ģ) make sure you then run "gradle idea" as this should generate the IDEA files needed for you automatically.ģ) Now, should that still fail, it could be a minor mapping issue in which case you go into Module Settings -> Dependencies. It doesn't work and I'm not sure how I should go about doing this other than trying to remake the potion effects and setting it so it cant be cured by milk. I don't think I can add setCurativeItems in the item class (1st piece of code) so I tried to instead make my own potion effect which just has those 3 effects (2nd piece of code) and tried to make it so that it has no curative items. If anything is still needing for proper understanding, I will be determined to provide it. I hope I provided enough information for you to be able to give me a hint or to give me a solution to the problem. It is also noticeable that in the ExampleMod class minecraft, mon, minecraftforge.event, minecraftforge.eventbus, minecraftforge.fml and apache.logging aren't found and therefore are red. I unfortunately do not understand how to transfer the solutions from the "Possible Solutions" link to my own problem. Declare repository providing the artifact, see the documentation at > Could not resolve all files for configuration ':compileClasspath'. I followed the wiki and ranĪfter that I tried to start the game and got the following error message in in the "Build Output" tab:Įxecution failed for task ':compileJava'. As a version i chose 1.16.5 and downloaded the appropriate Forge MDK. I've recently been starting out with mod programming in Minecraft.
